Will watch Season 2 but not sure how they will be able to progress the storyline. 'Don't say yes until I finished talking' is brilliant, and Ivy's solution to Marilyn's sex appeal is perfect. The music ranges from really catchy to kind of mediocre, and some of the choreography is pretty good.

I love the characters, the storyline, the musical numbers - all of it. It was all change for season 2 and, it seemed, telling the story of bringing a musical to Broadway was no longer enough.
Ivy is under pressure to perform, while her mother, Broadway star Leigh Conroy, undermines her at every turn. The storyline, quite literally, makes ZERO sense~ Thoroughly enjoyed this season. In Season 2 of Smash, the "Bombshell" team is one step closer to achieving their Broadway dream. If you are a fan of musicals (Broadway, West End), or a fan of Glee, then you will love this show. Introducing "Hit List" subplot (which quickly became major) was a brilliant stroke, not only allowing great talents like Krysta Rodriquez and especially Jeremy Jordan to be utilized but also allowing for additional songwriters who imbued Hit List, and therefore SMASH with some less traditional sounds. In all fairness I do not know what was going on behind the scenes. Some Great Vocal Numbers 'Broadway Here I Come' 'Heart Shaped Wreckage' 'I Can't Let Go' & 'Rewrite The Story' As well As Some Great Production Numbers 'A Thousand And One Nights' Perfect For Any Musical Fan! Jeremy Jordan is very talented, but his character, Jimmy, was such a baby and instead of talking calmly like an adult about what he wanted, he was always throwing a tantrum when he didn't get his way.
Loved the first season. I love that there's a show within a show, and the music is fantastic. I really liked Smash season one even if the critics didn't!
