The rooms were clean and comfortable, the food excellent. We were only going to eat in for one night but ended up eating in both nights and we all found the food well cooked, tasty and plentiful. The hotel is situated to enjoy local pursuits of walking, pony trekking, cycling, caving or boat rides on the Monmouth to Brecon canal, which adjoins the hotel. Breakfast on Saturday was waitress service and on the Sunday a buffet but again the food was good with a wide choice. GM Cameron was the consummate host while his staff were unobtrusive but friendly and attentive. A stroll along the beautiful Monmothshire and Brecon Canal is accessible from our own gardens and the bustling tourist hub of Crickhowell is just a five minute drive away. We would definitely stay here again and have recommended it to all our family and friends.
