If there’s one thought Vashti Whitfield wants people to take away from documentary feature Be Here Now, it is that being healthy is more than simply looking the part.The moving tribute to Vashti’s late actor partner, Andy, famous for playing the lead in Spartacus: Blood and Sand, is released this month and documents his intensive treatment for non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma that ultimately took his life at the age of 39 in 2011.The film is a potent reminder that even the brightest of stars can be struck down by a terrible illness.“When Andy was looking what some would call a wet dream, he had stage four cancer roaring around behind his abs and a tumour the size of a doughnut squashing his spine,” the life coach told Confidential.“The thing I really want people to get out of this, because a lot of people are all about what we look like, is really about making sure that we look after our wellbeing and not just externally.
