Lower falls is the shortest at fifteen feet with the upper fall being twenty-five feet. Each Fall has different size, width and features. McCloud Falls has 3 tiers, but the middle section offers the best views by far. Set up your tent or RV along the banks of the McCloud River and absorb the scenic bliss. Cattle Camp Campground is spread through a pine forest only a short drive from the McCloud River. If the improved campgrounds around McCloud are too crowded and confining, you may want to try camping somewhere else.

Its hardly 10-20 miles from mt shasta.If you are in the area, it is a must stop! And the hike is great too!

Start from the lower falls that you can get to from the day use parking lot easily. The water is icecold so be prepared to experience the feeling of thousand needles pricking you at the same time once you jump into the water.

You can spend as little as an hour here and it's worth the time, or spend longer if you want to hike.As beautiful as the pictures posted!! Parking lot takes you right to the lower falls and probably a mile to the middle falls. The falls is in 3 parts. You are about 150 yards above the falls, but they are pretty impressive and a lot wider than Upper Falls.

Middle McCloud Falls The middle part of this waterfall is located in a parking lot about 5 minutes from the Upper Falls.

Meandering along the McCloud River, the level hike from Lower Falls to Middle Falls is about 20 minutes. it was a really clean campground with sites nestled in the trees.
